Coinciding with the 2026 NBA Draft Lottery, Nike officially unveils one of the most inventive Kobe releases in years: the Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Draft Day” Pack.
While previous “Draft Day” Kobe releases typically leaned into the predictable purple-and-teal palette inspired by the Charlotte Hornets franchise, Nike is taking a far more ambitious approach in 2026 by including the entire lottery class. Each of the Kobe 4 Protros will be sealed inside packaging that conceals the colorway until opened.
In total, the collection features thirteen different Kobe 4 Protros, each tied to a specific lottery position from the 1996 NBA Draft, and one bonus edition. Every pair features a wear-away white upper that reveals the full team colors underneath, matched alongside team-colored Swooshes and insoles marked with corresponding lottery numbers. For example, the Philadelphia 76ers-inspired version references the franchise’s No. 1 overall selection with red-and-blue detailing and a “1” lottery ball graphic inside the shoe.
There’s also a mysterious fourteenth pair included in the set dressed in a bolder yellow and purple, reminding us of the legendary Nike Hyperdunk “Snakepool” from 2008.
The Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Draft Day” Pack is officially scheduled to release on June 26th, just days after the 2026 NBA Draft.
