JJJJound is bringing its clean design language back to Vans with another release of its Half Cab collaboration. The Montreal studio’s latest drop includes the familiar “Black” and “Crimson” colorways, both keeping the focus on premium materials, muted colors, and subtle branding.
Both colorways feature a suede upper with a more refined shape than the standard Half Cab. The build appears to use less padding, giving the shoe a slimmer lifestyle look instead of a heavily padded skate-ready feel. That cleaner profile fits JJJJound’s usual approach, where restraint and texture do most of the work.
The “Black” pair keeps things simple with dark suede panels, tonal stitching, and off-white accents across the tongue, laces, and midsole. The “Crimson” pair follows the same layout but swaps the upper for a deep burgundy shade, creating a softer vintage feel while still staying understated.
JJJJound also reworks the traditional Half Cab side tag with a debossed collar stamp. The detail blends into the suede instead of standing out, which gives the collaboration a more premium and minimal finish.
The JJJJound x Vans Half Cab pack is expected to release May 19th exclusively through Vans. While pricing has not been officially confirmed, the pairs will likely retail around $120 USD, matching last year’s launch.
