Nike continues its MLB City Connect series keeps expanding with the release of this Cincinnati Reds Air Max 1 inspired by the team’s newest uniform scheme. The Nike Air Max 1 City Connect “Reds” will release May 30, 2026, at the Cincinnati Reds Team Store with a drop the following day at Unheardof. It will launch in unisex sizing retailing for $150 USD.
Nike used Cincinnati’s red-and-black City Connect uniforms as the primary inspiration for this shoe. The upper combines bright red suede with burgundy/red overlays while black striped material shows up on the toe box, side panels, and collar. White laces and a white Nike Swoosh help maintain that crisp contrast while directly connecting the shoe to the Reds’ alternate jerseys worn on the field.
City details make the pair feel more connected to Cincinnati than a standard team-colored Air Max 1. “CINCY” branding lands on the heel and insoles, while the City Connect “C” logo appears on the tongue. A white midsole breaks up the heavy red and black upper, with a red-tinted Air unit and matching outsole sections finishing the baseball-inspired look.
Nike has already used the Air Max 1 as the main canvas for several MLB City Connect projects. Brewers, Braves, Pirates, and Padres pairs have surfaced as part of the larger collection, with Orioles, Royals, and Rangers editions also expected to join the lineup.
