Nike KD 6 “Seat Pleasant” 2027 Release Date

The KD 6 is only just getting back into the mix for 2026, but Nike already appears to have more planned for the model. One pair to watch is the Nike KD 6 “Seat Pleasant”, which is now expected to return in 2027.

The KD 6 “Seat Pleasant” was originally released all the way back in 2013 as the initial colorway of Durant’s sixth signature shoe. Influenced by Seat Pleasant, Maryland, the palette of Sonic Yellow, Midnight Navy and Tropical Teal was inspired by the hometown that helped Durant discover his love for basketball before he entered the NBA.

While Durant has progressed all the way to the KD 19, his early Nike signatures like the KD 6 will always have a special place with fans that followed him before he won championships. The shoe was released during arguably the best period of Durant’s career and used cutting edge performance features and storytelling colorways that felt intentional.

Built around a dual-layered upper and Flywire support, the Nike KD 6 featured an iconic overlapping split tongue. Performance wise, a combination of Max Air and Zoom Air delivered cushioning that was reminiscent of the season it was released.

Colorway wise, there is not much else to say about the return other than it will stick true to the original. Reminiscent of Durant’s time in Maryland, Seat Pleasant inspired the green and yellow color story we know today. While the nostalgic air will be there for the retro, Durant’s homecoming story should help this release stand out from other returns.
