Nike is giving football boot design a very different job with the upcoming Nike First Sight Mirage. Expected to release in Fall 2026, the women’s lifestyle model keeps the sharp attitude of a cleat but moves it onto a raised platform sole built for the street, not the pitch.

Early details point to three colorways: “Black/Flash Crimson,” “Summit White/Ice,” and “Sail/Black.” Pricing has not been announced. The Nike First Sight Mirage is currently expected to release through Nike.com and select retailers.

This model comes from Nike’s First Sight initiative, which reworks sport performance ideas through a more style-focused lens. The Mirage makes that direction pretty clear. It is not another retro runner, another Dunk update, or a softened take on an existing lifestyle shoe.

Cleat-inspired paneling gives the upper its edge, while the low-cut build keeps it closer to a boot than a bulky sneaker. The bigger shift sits underfoot. Nike stretches the traction-style look into the platform tooling, turning a normally functional detail into the main design feature.

Women’s Nike lifestyle footwear has been crowded with familiar formulas lately, from slim runners to Air Max staples and archive-based releases. The Mirage lands outside that mix. It feels more like Nike testing how far a sport reference can be pushed before it becomes fashion footwear.

Fall 2026 should give the Nike First Sight Mirage a clearer story once official details arrive. For now, the appeal is simple: it takes a cleat-inspired idea Nike could have played safe with and gives it a much more unusual shape.
