The Stone Island x New Balance project gets another muted entry with the upcoming 1890 “Covert Green.” Official images are now available ahead of the shoe’s June 4, 2026 release through Stone Island and NewBalance.com, with unisex sizing priced at $250 USD.
Khaki, olive, and off-white shades give this 1890 a more rugged feel than a standard lifestyle runner. The upper uses olive-tinted ripstop mesh as its base, then adds synthetic tear-drop overlays in soft khaki and off-white tones. The result stays tonal, but the different materials keep the panels from blending together.
Suede detailing wraps the heel in a deeper khaki shade, matching the utility look Stone Island often brings to its footwear projects. Underfoot, the midsole pulls from the olive mesh up top, while weathered yellow ABZORB pods add an aged finish across the sole.
Stone Island branding appears through the compass badge on the tongue, giving the pair its clearest collaborative detail. New Balance keeps its presence more subtle with a small heel logo, while darker khaki insoles split NB and Stone Island branding between the left and right shoe.
