Nike “Rip The Script” Film For World Cup 2026

To ramp up anticipation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Nike Football has dropped a new six-minute short film, complete with a lineup of superstars, unpredictable play, and the distinct personality that has defined Nike’s best football campaigns.

Kylian Mbappé gets the spotlight stealing as a movie shoot quickly gets out of hand. The short film opens with a director desperately trying to get Nike’s football stars to stick to a script. However, as we know these players aren’t interested in acting like normal humans. The ball starts flying across the set, dribbling slashes through multiple scenes, and what was supposed to be a hyper-produced movie ends up becoming a Nike Football spectacle.

Notable faces such as Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian, LISA, Young Miko, and more all cameo throughout the commercial for extra buzz. Channing Tatum even sneaks his way into one of the best moments sporting an Erling Haaland haircut before Haaland himself pops into frame towards the end of the short.

Ibra begins the movie playing a fictional sports analyst, but he was never going to make it through a Nike Football video without getting in on the fun. Zlatan eventually joins the madness at hand and becomes one with the chaos.

James and Ronaldo take place in another great scene sitting in on a directors meeting about a hypothetical retirement film. The concept lands as both players are still reigning in debates over their GOAT status despite both still playing. Some things never change.

Nike’s underlying theme points to football feeling more exciting when players aren’t sticking to a script. This new short film channels the same creativity we’ve seen from older Nike Football campaigns such as “Secret Tournament” and “Joga Bonito” where personality, confidence and skill were just as important as the game itself.

The video concludes with just about every Nike athlete we know going after a single loose ball, before a young upcomer finally slashes his way through the group. Haaland makes his way through to deliver the last kick, setting the film up for what’s to come on the path to World Cup 2026.
