The Broken Arm x Salomon Savát continues the brand’s collaboration with Salomon by dropping another low-cut option for Salomon’s trail mix. Design-wise, the Savát is much closer to looking like a DIY backpacker project than a straightforward performance runner. For one, it takes the burly sole offered on the Salomon S/LAB Cross 2 and subverts expectations from there.
The upper eschews synthetic sheets in favor of pliable leather panels, exposed stitching, and thin black speed laces.
“The Cosmic Sky” pair is softer-looking overall, but still packs plenty of outdoor heft. Pale lavender covers the upper, accompanied by green accents running through the forefoot and lateral panels. A rubber toe cap and black outsole keep things edgy, while Salomon branding towards the heel is trimmed white.
“The Black Olive” colorway is bolder with familiar trailrunning vibes. Deep olive tones cover most of the upper, contrasted by lighter stitching and black laces. Bright red Salomon branding hits near the heel, with matching blue and white traction pods visible below the rugged sole.
The collar only receives light padding, the majority of the construction seams remain exposed, and co-branded insoles connect The Broken Arm to the product without cluttering up the shoe.
The Broken Arm x Salomon Savát will release globally on June 16th via Salomon and select retailers.
