Too complex for ComplexCon? Never say never. Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, pulled up to the annual hypebeast playground with the latest silhouette from his independent YZY brand, the Yeezy 800.
Former Yeezy head of design Gosha Rubchinskiy popped out in the shoes, joined by Ye and the rest of his entourage wearing different models. Don C, another member of Ye’s inner circle, shot the video showing them off, embedded below.
The Yeezy 800 was unveiled back in August but was excluded from that month’s big Yeezy footwear batch that dropped via JD Sports. It slots neatly within the trail and outdoor-esque lifestyle shoe genre, featuring a low-top height, rugged traction, and never-before-seen paneling that branches out into multiple curves around the forefoot.
Gosha’s ComplexCon pair, while kept in the chamber at the convention itself, hints that a release may be coming sooner rather than later. The yellow and grey colorway actually trickled out earlier this summer as part of a larger round of “leaks,” emerging alongside three other bright colorways in varying blues and greens.
