The Nike Dunk Low “Panda Viotech” Includes An Arts And Crafts Project

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

If your algorithm includes any sneaker-related content, you’re well aware that the Panda Dunk Low remains a lightning rod, frequently brought up in various “most overrated” and “worst of all time” social clips. Unsaid in those clips is how exactly the shoe became so infamous: a nigh-inescapable status at its peak, that statistically speaking, those who now decry the black-and-white edition were likely attendant to.

Hypocrisy aside, we learned of Beaverton’s plan to revisit the infamous sneaker half a decade after it took the world by storm with a literal interpretation of its unofficial title. Since that first look hit the ‘net, we’ve been truly inundated with fresh editions, spinning off more far-flung two tone looks in glossy leather and shaggy fur alike. Another of the latter now surfaces via retailer images, cooking up an eccentric “Viotech” and “Dusty Olive” combination with animated detailing; the ursine hangtag meets frayed panels on the tongue and heel.

Additionally, with the packaging now revealed, this adds an additional layer to this playful release: you can break down part of the shoebox for a general purpose holder. Nike’s suggestion? A planter, a pen holder, or a display for the included hangtag if you’d like to wear the Panda even prouder.

The Nike Dunk Low “Panda Viotech” is expected to release on August 1st in adult sizing, retailing for $125.
