Victor Solomon’s run of “Trophies” sneakers was one of the star attractions of NBA All-Star Weekend back in February, the designer behind many of the league’s trophies delivering ultra-luxe takes on the Air Force 1, Air Max 90, and, for our purposes, the Foamposite One. The moment was apparently big enough to warrant a second round, with Solomon and company recently circling back for an alternate “Trophies” pack that swapped the original white foundations for black. While the shoes have already released, official images of the Foams now allow us to appreciate the design in full detail.
Official images relayed by Sneaker Market Romania show a black foundation with intricate, ornate paisley detailing across the molded shell portion. The eyelet panel arrives in black tumbled leather, matched by additional black hits on the tongue, interior, and outsole. As with all of Victor Solomon’s “Trophies” sneakers, the defining feature is a set of gold-chain shoelaces, a detail most will agree makes the shoe more of a collector’s piece than a realistic everyday option when styled that way.
The black Victor Solomon x Nike Air Foamposite One “Trophies” released July 10th exclusively at Shoe Palace in Las Vegas, though the delayed emergence of official images suggests the pair might receive a wider launch down the line (potentially during WNBA All-Star Weekend). Rest assured we’ll circle back with any and all updates.
