This New Balance 1000 brings futuristic vibes to the refreshed late-’90s silhouette.
Metallic silver leather dominates the sleek retro-tech look. Soft “Rose Sugar” logos provide subtle contrast, while maroon accents on the tongue, heel and midsole add depth. Dark grey outsole and sockliner accents complete the color palette.
New Balance originally released the 1000 in 1999. It has slowly re-emerged in recent years, propelled by the chunky runner trend and Y2K nostalgia. This pair melds both elements, with a nod to OG fans and new collectors alike. That chunky upper and bold midsole is definitely of the time, but the metallic treatment updates it for 2025.
