The state of Nike signature athletes remains an object of fascination in our offices. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander crossing the hall from Converse to Nike proper, all of a sudden its list of signature shoe recipients is abundantly stocked; SGA adds to elder statesmen like LeBron, Giannis, A’ja Wilson, and Kevin Durant, as well as rising stars like Ja Morant, Sabrina Ionescu, and Caitlin Clark.

That’s not to mention impending or potential inclusions; Victor Wembanyama and Paige Bueckers are arguably already deserving, AJ Dybantsa and Dylan Harper carry limitless potential, and Cade Cunningham is confirmed to be the next tentpole figure. As we await the tentative Cade 1, Cunningham has a 0.5 step underway with his stewardship of the Nike ST Charge, his star power attached to the outdoor basketball model through a range of player exclusives.

At the time of writing, it doesn’t appear that the Pistons MVP candidate is attached to this pair, but nonetheless his influence looms over the model as a whole. In place of his personalized touches, the ST Charge delivers a hefty dose of “Pink Foam” through the extended mudguard/sole section, equaled in shine by gilded branding, laces, and eyestays, before grounding the collar and foot entrance in jet black.

Look for the Nike ST Charge “Pink Foam” to land in Asian markets soon, with a launch via stateside retailers like Foot Locker also likely. A $140 retail price is confirmed.
