Nike SB Dunk Low “Hatch Chile” IO427-300

Nike SB has long made its bones in the realm of pop culture crossovers and subversive colorways crafted by skate shop partners. Given that history, it’s hard for the imprint to totally bowl us over multiple decades in, but the sub-brand has genuinely carved out new territory in 2026, choosing to pay homage to specific slices of the continental United States, as seen with their Bay Area-specific “Muni Pass” series.

Shifting locales from the West Coast to the Southwest, the Nike SB Dunk Low enters the “Hatch Chile” colorway into the canon. For those not horticulturally or culinarily inclined, rather than being a specific species of pepper, the hatch chile is an earnest pride point for the state of New Mexico, as only those cultivated in the Hatch Valley can be sold under that moniker.

Though the pepper comes in red and green varieties, Nike leans on the latter, outfitting the SB Dunk Low in a tri-tone blend of pale green, khaki, and yellow, likely reflective of the New Mexico state flag. Inside, a flame-licked set of insoles mirrors the same, with a toothed Nike SB logo visible from a top-down view. To close, a similarly aggressive flip on the usual “Nike” stamp anchors the design on the heel.
