Jordan Brand will pay tribute to the Chicago Bulls’ 1993 Eastern Conference Finals victory over the New York Knicks with the release of the “Knicks” Air Jordan 8. The Bulls would win the series against the Knicks 4 -2 and go on to the NBA Finals. Ultimately, the Bulls and Michael Jordan would win the NBA Championship against the Phoenix Suns, 4-2. This would also mark MJ’s first three-peat.
Some of you may remember that I talked about a “Cavs” Air Jordan 8 launching. Jordan Brand has changed the style code for the shoes and is officially calling them the New York Knicks, which makes more sense than “Cavs.” The original colorway derived from the shades used resembles the “Cavs” Air Jordan 4.
This Air Jordan 8 is dressed in a Black, Safety Orange, and Racer Blue color combination. The shoes will feature Black nubuck on the upper, with Blue accents on the buckle, tongue branding, and the graphic on the panels. Standing out, Orange will fill in big parts of the midsole and appear on the heel pull loop. The look is completed with a Black rubber outsole.
