Jordan Brand and Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise are headed back to the well with another Air Jordan 1 collaboration in 2027, their third following 2018’s “Origin Story” and 2023’s “Across the Spider-Verse.”
For sneakerheads also invested in the superhero movie universe, the project hardly comes as a surprise. Like its two predecessors, the sneaker lines up with the conclusion of the Miles Morales movie trilogy, specifically “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” set to hit theaters in June 2027.
The “Origin Story” from 2018, released at the height of Air Jordan 1 hype, played off the iconic Jordan 1 “Chicago” and went double platinum in collectors’ circles, drawing demand and hype from sneakerheads, Marvel fans, and the large swath of consumers with feet in both worlds. 2023’s “Across The Spider-Verse” Jordan 1 followed the same general blueprint, replacing the first edition’s textured leather overlays with a patchwork construction.
The Jordan 1 High OG “Beyond The Spider-Verse” features an official color palette of “Black/White/University Red,” implying another spin on “Chicago” one way or another. The sneaker is due out Summer 2027 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. The movie drops June 18th, 2027, so we expect the sneaker to land around that same window.
