Perhaps it’s understandable given the massive shake-ups in the East, but it feels like Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons, the #1 seed in last year’s playoffs, have become the forgotten men in the new-look Conference. The public can sleep at their own discretion. Nike certainly won’t be doing the same.
Even as a Cade Cunningham signature shoe is being developed, potentially to be debuted during the next campaign, his name has been a constant presence throughout the Nike catalog. Most will identify the ST Charge and his run of publicly released PEs in that vein, yet the Swoosh is adding another silhouette into the mix. The Cade Cunningham x Nike GT Cut 4 now appears via official images, carrying at least some tacit inspiration from a past pair.
Indeed, around the superstar guard’s first All-Star appearance, he broke out a speckled, galaxy-like version of the Nike GT Cut 3. Though now supplanted by the GT Cut 4, that shoe lends its starry arrangement to the collars, laces, lateral sides, and midsoles of this colorway. On the exterior, the “Greater Than” model’s love for shimmering finishes culminates in an almost lenticular blue/purple coating on the outsides.
The Cade Cunningham x Nike GT Cut 4 should be coming to shelves in short order, likely commanding the standard $190 retail price.
