Anthony Edwards has a knack for the unexpected link-up. From Barack Obama to Lily Zhang, the charismatic face of the Minnesota Timberwolves is seemingly never fazed no matter who’s in front of him. The Three Stripes has sought to tap into that aspect of his personality by pitting Ant against some of its otherwise A-listers, something we’ve seen plenty of with him and Edison Chen.

The two adi titans last reunited for a CLOT version of the adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Low, leaving consumers burnt by its friends-and-family-exclusive status, yet nonetheless demonstrating that their combined power could truly capture the sneakerhead audience. Here, in animated form, Edwards is again the face of an Edison Chen design, officially unveiling the CLOT Superstar in “Unity Orange.”

This toothed overhaul of the shell toe is far from new to our newswire, helping kick off the two brands’ partnership towards the top of 2024 and making scattered appearances since then: as a three-headed shared design with BAPE, as a celebrant of Chinese New Year, and as a dressy edition sent to Sneaker News earlier this year but still pending a wide launch. Atop that established foundation, CLOT utilizes an earthy yellow and brown palette to accent the classic white leather that’s been a part of the Superstar DNA for decades.

The CLOT x adidas Superstar in “White/Brown/Unity Orange” will release on July 25th via CONFIRMED, adidas.com, and partnering retailers. A $200 retail price is confirmed.
