JJJJound has a work ethic like no other, already checking off drops with several brands in the first half of the year. As evidenced by their New Balance 740N “Mushroom” or a restock of their Vans Half Cab, they’re not above bringing past collections’ energy into a renewed visitation. It’s that ethos on display again with the JJJJound x PUMA Mostro, as a third edition comes to light overseas.
To be entirely transparent, this is actually one we’ve seen before, teased shortly after the public release of their navy and brown colorways as a friends-and-family exclusive. By way of a Porter Tokyo raffle, that grayscale style is back at the fore, seemingly headed for a public release, at the very least on the island, but potentially followed by a global launch. Sneakerheads will already know that JJJJound tends towards a subtler design language, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the same goes for this pair; suede treatments in the upper, leather lining, and JJJJound detailing on the insoles are about the only distinguishing factors from what you might see on the shelf at your local PUMA retailer.
