Christmas comes twice a year for the New Balance fanatic; once with the reveal of the Spring/Summer slate, and once, about 6 months later, as its follow-up collection comes to light. The Made in USA Capsule has been a high priority for both brand and consumer since Aime Leon Dore’s Teddy Santis took the reins, and the September through December plans for the Fall/Winter 2026 effort are finally confirmed. Catch a drop-by-drop breakdown of what New Balance Made in USA Fall/Winter 2026 has in store below; drop 1 begins the capsule on September 3rd.
Drop 1: New Balance 990v4 “Grey Violet” and New Balance 993 “Morel”
First revealed via retailer images about a week before this article goes live, the Fall/Winter 2026 effort kicks off in almost counterintuitive fashion, as the colder months’ offerings begin with spring-forward colorways. Taking two mainstay silhouettes and outfitting them in hairy suede, the first drop brings subtle “Morel” and “Grey Violet” tones that flood the uppers of both pairs, offset by off-white treatments in the sole units below. These two pairs both release on September 3rd, retailing for $200.
Drop 2: New Balance 1300 “Sea Salt”
The New Balance 1300, now included in three consecutive seasonal capsules, utilizes embossed pig suede throughout the overlays in the upper for almost a croc-like texture. Off-white dominates much of the profile overall, including on a knit mesh foundation, bracketed by collegiate tones of “Blue Oyster” and “Mulled Wine.”
Drop 3: New Balance 990v4 “Monarch Burgundy” and New Balance 990v4 “NB Navy”
The third delivery revisits the New Balance 990v4 for two paired colorways, taking on rich tonality in “Monarch Burgundy” and “NB Navy.” The first accomplishes that by painting its upper rather comprehensively in fire red, yet embraces the season with a contrast “Pumpernickel” platform below. The other, almost evoking the New Balance 2040v5, leans on more conventional blocking with an upper/lower split between dark aquatics and steely grey underpinnings.
Drop 4: New Balance 992 “Medusa Green”
The New Balance 992 shines as a major star of the latter half of the capsule, first with this “Medusa Green/Cortado” edition. This pair is notable for its embrace of rather novel and arresting blocking schemes, as its wraparound mudguard and sole unitin earthy “Cortado” and “Thunder Brown.” The titular aquamarine shade handles the foot entrance and midline before white trim at the collar and laces rounds out this pair. Materially, we get some additional intrigue as this pair promises pebbled “Basketball Leather,” seen in the textures on the tongue and heel.
Drop 5: New Balance 993 “Shadow Blue”
The New Balance 993 “Shadow Blue” sees the return of embossed pig suede, this time evoking ostrich textures with pocked pronouncements visible on the toe. Otherwise, the pairing of rich cerulean shades and weather-appropriate browns is again in focus.
Drop 6: New Balance 992 “Black/Afterglow”
In a rare choice, the New Balance 992 “Black/Afterglow” outfits almost entirely in leather, with raw edges creating a real sense of depth and texture on this penultimate pair. A swatch of dark yellow in the midsole pairs with those tan hits before “NB Navy” creeps up on the branching underlays for some off-color contrast.
Drop 7: New Balance 992 “Sport Green”
Saving perhaps the most vibrant for last, the New Balance 992 “Sport Green” bucks the Fall/Winter theme to round out this season. In heavy doses of suede and mesh, a tri-tone split between forest green, royal purple, and light blue plays out in a layout that reminds of the “Sea Stone/Green Apple” from earlier this year.
