Following news of a new Nike Air Max 95 GORE-TEX build, the Swoosh is continuing to dress the Air Max icon for the autumn months, this time with the synthetic-heavy Air Max 95 Stealth in a new “Anthracite/Obsidian/Racer Blue” makeup.

The Air Max 95 has seen myriad offshoots over the years ranging from decent to god awful, none matching the timeless nature of original-adjacent gradient makeups, but some carving out their own smaller niche followings despite mixed receptions. The Air Max 95 Ultra is probably the most notorious example, conceived in the mid-2010s as a more “futuristic” version of the model featuring a shorter midsole and streamlined upper leaning heavy on synthetics.

Now over a decade later, the Stealth feels like something of a middle ground between the OG and that polarizing futuristic build. The midsole sports “Big Bubble” tooling in line with the model’s earliest editions, while the overlays are cut from a performance canvas material, here fading from light to dark blue tones as you move from the top down. Leather lace loops and a leather tongue patch round out the highlights.
