Nike Air Max Metro 2026 Colorways

The Nike Air Max Metro will release on October 1, 2026, introducing a new silhouette to the Air Max family. The model combines an early-2000s-inspired upper with modern cushioning borrowed from Nike’s running lineup. The retail price is $160 each.

Nike is taking a different approach with the Air Max Metro instead of bringing back another retro. The upper has a layered look inspired by performance running shoes, while the midsole draws on the Pegasus Premium. This gives the Metro a mix of older running aesthetics and newer Air technology.

The first group of colorways includes Black/Black-Light Photo Blue-Illusion Green, Pale Ivory/Black, and Black/Metallic Dark Grey-Bright Crimson. The Photo Blue version uses Black mesh across the base with Light Photo Blue suede panels, molded Blue overlays, and Illusion Green accents. The Pale Ivory pair takes a lighter route with Ivory suede over Black mesh, while the Bright Crimson edition combines Black and Metallic Dark Grey with Red detailing.

The upper uses a combination of mesh, suede, and synthetic leather. Open mesh provides ventilation, while the layered overlays add structure around the toe, midfoot, and heel. Nike also adds its button-style branding to the heel, giving the Metro another connection to its running footwear.

Underneath, the Air Max Metro introduces one of its biggest updates. A nearly full-length Nike Air unit runs through most of the midsole and is positioned between layers of Cushlon 3.0 foam. Nike says the Air cushioning is designed to absorb impact, while Cushlon 3.0 provides soft and responsive cushioning underfoot. A rubber outsole with a durable traction pattern completes the setup for everyday wear.
