It’s Fashion Week in New York City, and Nike is taking that prompt to its fullest extent as it looks ahead to 2027. Through the Air Force 1 “Horse Of A Different Color,” the Swoosh has already toyed with new material executions on the Uptown, but a private preview showed off three new quilted versions of the silhouette that clearly have runway aims.
It’s essentially what it says on the tin with this three-pack, with crossed stitching laid out across the body, only interrupted by an overlaid Swoosh and a lace unit that sticks to the usual matte leather. For this new build, Nike is plotting three flooded executions that partially lean on what’s worked for the AF1 already; a an all-white and all-black hit on “Triple” variations that’ve been essential to Bruce Kilgore’s design for decades, while a rosy tan puts a luxurious spin on this fresh layout.
Of course, we couldn’t get through this article without mentioning the name “Don C.” His Air Jordan 2 collab series looms large over this general release follow-up, especially in the wake of Devin Booker’s retake of that colorway on his signature shoe. Beyond that, Supreme’s iconic SB Blazer and Michael Lau’s triple-headed Supreme AF1 stand out as comparison points.
Again, this Nike Air FOrce 1 “Quilted” build should be hitting shelves come Holiday 2026. Retail pricing is currently unknown. Get an early sense of what to expect via our in-hand images below.
