With breezy mesh overhauls and KITH’s revival of the “Linen” colorway, we’ve already seen the Nike Air Force 1 suit up for summer in various ways. Yet none have been as expressive as this, as the Nike Air Force 1 “Ice Cream” surfaces with official images.
Here shown in big kids’ sizing, it’s a heartful and comprehensive ode to the sweet treat. Waffle cone textures and tonality commands the back half, thus pinning the front half of the shoe as the soft serve spiral or scoops of vanilla. A warming gradient across the Swoosh breaks from that candy shop aspect, but arguably the most expressive touch here finishes the homage. Rather than the open perforations at the toe, this pair replaces that trademark touch with graphic sprinkles.
The Nike Air Force 1 “Ice Cream” will be a grade school exclusively, surely coming to shelves, Nike.com, and partnering retailers in the coming weeks. A $100 retail price is confirmed.
