Tropical vibes. The Air Jordan 4 “Birds of Paradise” releases on July 23rd, retailing for $230 in women’s sizing. A warm-weather take on the silhouette, this colorway pairs its vibrant palette with special-edition packaging befitting its title.
Nike’s SNKRS platform will be the foremost launch site for the brand itself, but plenty of additional retailers will also be carrying stock. Not every shoe can relate back to Michael Jordan’s playing days. Though the Air Jordan 4 remains the most bankable asset in the Jumpman roster, 2026 has seen the model spread far beyond the classic on-court stories associated with His Airness. The Air Jordan 4 “Birds of Paradise” builds on pairs like the “Flight Club” by venturing to scenic locales, utilizing translucent warm tones in the sole, cream-colored leather and synthetic construction throughout the upper, and finishing with gilded branding hits at the heel. Furthering the concept, the packaging features the titular flower surrounding the standard Jumpman branding.
Though not a stated intention of the shoe, its packaging, or its official description, the paired Jordan Heir Series 2 “Birds of Paradise” (releasing alongside this shoe) adds another layer. With its overt WNBA branding, the hoops shoe tacitly brings the Air Jordan 4 into a lineage of W-centric Retro releases, including the desert camo Jordan 3, the rosy Jordan 5, the tangerine Jordan 1 Low Elevate, and the “Brilliant Orange” Jordan 12.
