As The London Marathon Looms, The New Balance 991v2 Suits Up

Given their storied history in running and how prideful their Made in UK program is, it’s no shock that New Balance has made a tradition of pouring out London Marathon colorways. While yes, the brand continually kits the actual runners with their latest and greatest performance efforts, a near-annual series has taken shape on their lifestyle icons, from the ever-iconic 1500 to the 991v2, a standard bearer in maintaining the tenets of the Flimby program.

It’s the latter in focus for 2026, as the latest New Balance 991v2 “London Marathon” comes to light. Befitting eye-catching racewear, all of its peers to date have worked some sort of neon flair into the mix, and this “Dark Sea” variation sticks with that by adding bright pink trim, including on the embroidered “LDN” hit at the vamp. High contrast is the overall theme, bracketing that choice, as aquatic teal suede takes up most of the real estate, before the colorway closes on a dusky note with a darkened sole unit underfoot.

The New Balance 991v2 “London Marathon” 2026 is listed for an April 23rd release on New Balance UK, retailing for £210.00.
