Far be it from Nike to shy away from getting literal, especially with a franchise as iconic and cleverly named as the Pegasus line. The Nike Pegasus Premium, in many ways a culmination of over four decades of running innovation, celebrates its mythology-inspired namesake with an actual pegasus graphic on the insoles – a nice hidden touch that could nod back to the series’ origins.
Official images show a Wolf Grey upper with Midnight Navy Swooshes, a familiar scheme that just so happens to align with an original colorway featured in Nike’s earliest Pegasus ads (like the one embedded below). Making such a subtle allusion wouldn’t be out of character for the Swoosh, and the aforementioned pegasus graphic further suggests there could be an intended connection.

The midsole is what throws things off a bit. The palette shifts in a completely different direction underfoot, featuring Volt Air Zoom cushioning and a pale orange hit along the ZoomX portion. Potential tie-ins notwithstanding, these are still plenty compelling.
This Nike Pegasus Premium doesn’t have a concrete release date yet, but a Summer 2026 drop seems likely. Expect men’s sizing and a $220 price point.
