It’s why new and returning builds like the Air Max 95 Woven, Air Max 95 Zip, or on a subtler note, the Air Max 95 Total 90 group have flanked those “default” compositions. Yet while the dawn of OG Big Bubble tooling restoring the feeling of its original run was so groundbreaking, it’s a futuristic appeal now in sight. Here we have the Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble tech, swapping out the fabric mesh that typically defines the 110 for a synthetic no-sew layer, refreshing the side waves as thin aerodynamic attachments.

As this “offshoot” first came across our desk, we noted the similarities to the Air Max 95 Ultra, a modern invention and one that understandably fell by the wayside as the chunky OG tooling became a focus, running counter to the Ultra’s slimmed profile.
