Donovan Mitchell’s adidas DON Issue 8 is starting to surface as Cleveland prepares for its Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup against Detroit. adidas Basketball teased the next signature model with a playful clip built around Mitchell’s “Spida” nickname.
Three versions of Mitchell appear in the teaser pointing at each other, recreating the famous Spider-Man meme. The moment also gives fans an early look at the unreleased adidas DON Issue 8, which appears in a red-to-blue gradient colorway with strong comic-inspired energy.
Bold Three Stripes branding wraps the heel area, while the shoe’s sculpted build points toward a performance-driven setup for Mitchell’s next signature release. The color blocking leans heavily into Spider-Man territory, although adidas has not confirmed whether this pair is part of an official Marvel collaboration.
Mitchell and adidas have worked with Marvel before, making the connection easy to follow. His past Spider-Man-themed releases helped define the D.O.N. line, and this new teaser feels like a natural next chapter for the series.
The adidas DON Issue 8 does not have confirmed release details yet. Expect more information soon as Mitchell continues wearing the model during the Cavaliers’ playoff run.
