The Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Protro “Denim” brings one of Kobe’s rarest lifestyle pairs back into focus. Originally tied to a limited 2006 player-exclusive run, the denim-covered Air Force 1 now appears set for a wider Protro release.
This first look shows a build that stays close to the original pair. Dark navy denim covers most of the upper, while lighter grey denim panels add contrast across the toe, midfoot, and heel. Bright orange stitching outlines the overlays, Swoosh, and eyestay, giving the shoe its signature denim-workwear feel.
Kobe branding adds another important detail to the design. His Sheath logo appears in orange near the heel, while white laces and a clean white midsole balance the darker upper. A bold orange outsole completes the colorway and gives the pair a strong finish from top to bottom.
The Protro update should also make this release more wearable than the early PE version. Nike is expected to include a ReactX drop-in midsole, bringing modern comfort to the classic Air Force 1 shape. That detail helps connect Kobe’s performance legacy with a lifestyle model built for everyday use.
