Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is bringing another bold Converse SHAI 001 into the spotlight as Oklahoma City pushes deeper into the postseason. The Converse SHAI 001 Premium “Slither” continues the model’s early rollout with a snakeskin-inspired design set to release July 14th for $150.
The “Slither” colorway follows other premium SHAI 001 pairs like “Ink” and “Steel,” but this version leans into a more textured look. Its upper features a crackled snakeskin pattern that gives the shoe a sharper, more aggressive feel. Olive tones appear on the collar and outsole, helping balance the louder reptile-inspired finish.
While Shai has worn several player-exclusive versions on court, the Premium line has kept a more focused design approach. Each pair uses a mostly tonal look while still adding enough detail to stand apart. The “Slither” edition fits that direction, giving the silhouette a strong lifestyle edge without losing its basketball identity.
SGA is expected to debut the Converse SHAI 001 Premium “Slither” during the Western Conference Finals. However, fans will have to wait until after the season to grab a pair. Before this release, the SHAI 001 “Steel” is scheduled to drop June 11th.
