The Air Max line is getting another futuristic entry with the Nike Air Liquid Max “Black/Team Red.” Set to release in Summer 2026, the new model arrives in a Black, Team Red, Fire Red, and Metallic Gold colorway for $220.
This pair leans into a more aggressive side of Air Max design. A black woven-style upper sets the base, while raised red detailing moves across the shoe in a sharp, almost digital pattern. The mix gives the sneaker a fast, textured look without needing loud branding everywhere.
Metallic Gold Swooshes add the strongest contrast on the side panels, giving the dark build a cleaner premium edge. More gold appears on the tongue branding, while black laces, glossy overlays, and a padded black collar keep the rest of the shoe grounded. Red insoles with black Swoosh logos add another hit of color inside.
The full-length Liquid Max cushioning is the main story underfoot. Its sculpted black pod setup gives the shoe a fluid, high-tech look, while red traction pods show through the smoky translucent outsole. Even from the bottom, the design keeps the same black-and-red energy.
Nike also pairs the release with special black packaging featuring subtle wave-like graphics and Swoosh branding. It matches the shoe’s futuristic feel and gives the release a more complete presentation.
The Nike Air Liquid Max “Black/Team Red” will release Summer 2026 via Nike.com and select retailers. The retail price is set at $220 USD.
