Drake is helping introduce Kevin Durant’s next Nike signature shoe, giving the Nike KD 19 a bigger cultural push before its release.
The reveal came through a new social media spot shared by both Drake and Durant. In the clip, Drake leans into his acting side while reacting to several wild footwear ideas, including a cowboy boot-style Air Force 1 and a Yeti-inspired Air Monarch. However, the real focus comes when the Nike KD 19 finally appears.
The pair shown is a clean, icy colorway nicknamed the “Candy’s”. It continues the KD 19’s early theme of bold, one-color looks with a futuristic build and glossy finish. So far, Durant’s latest signature model has surfaced in several tonal styles, including purple, orange, and yellow versions.
This reveal also adds more interest to the rumored NOCTA x Nike KD 19 project. Early sample images have already been disputed, but Drake’s connection to the official KD 19 rollout hints that a NOCTA version could still be part of the model’s future.
The Nike KD 19 is currently scheduled to release on SNKRS on June 17th. Specific launch colorways have not been fully confirmed yet, but this Drake-backed preview gives the model a strong start before its retail debut.
