J Balvin is moving on to the next chapter of his Jordan Brand story with the upcoming J Balvin x Air Jordan 4. After working through the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2, and Air Jordan 3, the Colombian artist is now bringing his colorful language to one of Jordan Brand’s most popular retro models.
The pair is currently expected to release September 25, 2026, through SNKRS and select retailers. Retail pricing is set at $225 USD. As of now, Jordan Brand has not officially announced the release, so details should still be treated as early until confirmed.
Balvin first wore the unreleased Air Jordan 4 during a seven-hour concert in Medellín, giving fans an early look from the stage. The shoe surfaced again during his performance at the Sueños music festival in Chicago, where Modern Notoriety captured another closer look at the pair.
The design keeps Balvin’s bright personality in play, but it feels more controlled than his Air Jordan 1. Brown leather covers much of the forefoot and mudguard, while black, green, blue, pink, orange, and red hits build out the rest of the upper and sole. The mix still feels playful, just not as chaotic as some of his earlier work.
Premium leather is used throughout the construction of the shoe, while pebbled black leather overlays provide additional texture towards the top. Decorative black metallic grommet-style eyelets are placed beside the traditional lace configuration for a custom look, as well as alternative ways to lace the shoe.
Minor details distinguish J Balvin x Air Jordan 4s from your everyday retro. A mini Swoosh debuts on the orange portion of the midsole near the toes while Nike Air branding pops up on the heels. Balvin’s signature smiley face logo is also rotated upside down on the back heel.
The J Balvin x Air Jordan 4 continues his chronological run through Jordan’s early signature line, and the AJ4 gives him a strong platform for another expressive release.
Slated to drop on September 2026, this one will be one to keep an eye on as more details are unveiled.
