The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Comic Book” is expected to release in July 2026, giving Jordan Brand’s comic-inspired 2026 lineup a more low-key option. The Air Jordan 4 tied to the same theme appears to be the louder pair, while this Mid keeps things mostly black with a few details doing the heavy lifting.
Black leather covers the overlays and gives the shoe its darker base. Halftone-style textile panels bring in the comic-strip feel, but not in a way that takes over the whole design. It reads more like a subtle print detail than a full graphic concept.
Tonal Swooshes sit quietly along the sides, which leaves more room for the collar Wings badge to stand out. That badge comes with a translucent metallic finish, while the tongue adds comic-style Jumpman branding for a clearer theme hit.
The black midsole keeps the shoe grounded, but the “Opti Yellow” outsole changes the look underfoot. It is the biggest color break on the pair and the detail that connects this Jordan 1 Mid back to the wider comic-book story.
