Nothing about the New Balance 993 “Triple Black” is flashy, and that suits the Made in USA runner just fine. Slated to drop this Summer for 2026, the sneaker is dressed head to toe in black suede and mesh for a retail price of $200 USD.
Black suede makes up majority of the upper, covering the toe box, side panels, and heel on the 993’s signature layered construction. A dark mesh underlays adds some texture to prevent the shoe from feeling completely monotone. Subtle branding is also apparent, with the “N” logos, laces, tongue label, and heel embroidery all colored in neutral tones.
The only thing interrupting that charcoal base is some shading through the midsole. New Balance carries over the 993’s ABZORB DTS cushioning as well, so you’re getting the same comfort technologies that helped cement the silhouette as a staple of the Made in USA collection.
A dark outsole caps the sneaker off without deviating from the overall look. There is nothing overthought about this colorway and that’s likely intentional.
