adidas Originals and Willy Chavarria are bringing their latest project into football territory with “Comienza Con El Sueño,” a collection arriving June 10, 2026 as the FIFA World Cup 2026 buildup starts to take shape.
The collection’s name translates to “It Begins With The Dream,” and the story is centered around Mexican football culture. adidas and Chavarria pair officially licensed Selección Nacional de México apparel with tailored lifestyle pieces, but the footwear is where the project gets its sharpest point of view.
The Willy Mega Low leads the lineup as a brand-new adidas silhouette. Its skeletal cage upper gives the shoe a harder, more sculptural look than Chavarria’s previous adidas work, while the bone-like framework also connects to Mexican cultural themes of heritage and remembrance.
The Copa Mundial Megaride takes a familiar adidas football icon and shifts it into a modern lifestyle space. Chavarria blends Copa DNA with adidas’ Megaride platform, creating a hybrid that feels tied to the sport without looking like a straight boot-to-streetwear conversion.
New Willy Megaride AG XL styles also join the collection, keeping the oversized shape and premium finish that have become part of Chavarria’s adidas language. Next to the Willy Mega Low and Copa Mundial Megaride, the AG XL gives the footwear range a more established piece from his current adidas catalog.
adidas also puts real football faces behind the campaign, featuring Jesús Gilberto Orozco, Jeremy Márquez, Omar Campos, and Ariel Castro. Their inclusion gives “Comienza Con El Sueño” a stronger link to the next generation of Mexican talent, which matters with the World Cup heading to North America in 2026.
