Nike ACG is bringing back the LDV in Summer 2026, giving one of its early long-distance runners another run with a more outdoor-ready build. Originally short for Long Distance Vector, the shoe dates back to the 1970s and later helped inform the direction of All Conditions Gear as Nike leaned further into trail and outdoor performance.
The shape still feels close to Nike’s late-’70s running catalog, with a low cut, slim profile, and paneling that shares some DNA with the original Tailwind from 1978. This version adds more cushion underfoot, ReactX branding on the midsole, and a rugged black outsole that pulls from Nike’s waffle traction.
The bolder pair arrives in Varsity Red/Sail-White-Wolf Grey. Red textile covers the upper, while darker red overlays wrap the toe, eyestay, and heel. Wolf Grey hits the Swoosh, heel tab, and ACG triangle logo, with white laces and a Sail midsole keeping the colorway from feeling too heavy.
Nike’s second option goes quieter in Wolf Grey/Summit White-White-Navy. Grey textile and overlays handle most of the upper, while navy lands on the Swoosh, heel tab, tongue branding, and ACG logos. It has more of an everyday trail-runner feel, especially with the white midsole and black tread breaking up the neutral build.
Both Nike ACG LDV colorways include exposed tongue labels, embroidered Nike branding on the heel, ACG side badges, and chunky outsole traction. The Nike ACG LDV “Varsity Red” and “Wolf Grey Navy” release Summer 2026 through Nike.com and select retailers for $130 each.
