It feels like every time we check into a new New Balance drop, we’ve got another silhouette to spotlight. As we turn to February, that’s the New Balance P400 and New Balance P350 in their basketball vertical, bolstering their performance offerings. On the lifestyle front, it’s still many of the usual suspects making noise, of which the New Balance 1000 is still a serious part.

Having experimented with new material foundations and eccentric colorways, the New Balance 1000 returns to its already-established formula for the “Truffle Salt” at hand. To wit, the Y2K aesthetics that the model champions bridge onto a visual level, as the silhouette coats its outer overlays in aughts-aligned silver. From there, the Boston brand leans on its overall strengths, sticking to grey on the mesh foundation and off-white in the sole unit.
