With the US Open set to kick off next weekend, New Balance has announced a new retro tennis lifestyle model that captures the aesthetics of yesteryear.
Inspired by ’70s and ’80s court shoes, the New Balance 750 sports a canvas upper featuring familiar layering, led by toe and heel caps, “N” logos on the sides, and a leather backtab. The midsole is where things get slightly more modern, the Boston brand opting for a chunky, almost platform-esque bottom with herringbone traction. The gallery below shows a purple colorway named “Outfield/Angora,” though multiple colorways, including a white and navy blue makeup, are expected to trickle out for Fall 2026.
New Balance is obviously invested in the performance side of the tennis genre via Coco Gauff, but the 750 fits decisively into the lifestyle lane. Do note that New Balance has released a number of models under the 750 name in the past, including performance runners and court shoes.
The New Balance 750 “Outfield/Angora” drops August 21st via the New Balance website for $100. See official images below if you’re moved to cop.
