The New Balance 2010 “Black/Pink Heat” continues the brand’s ongoing resurrection of early-2000s classics. Magnetic suede overlays a breathable black mesh upper, while mirrored patent leather overlays the toe box and heel for a subtly sinister shine. The bold “N” is toned down silver with narrow Pink Heat accents stitched in-house—still there, but dialed back. Pink touches on the tongue tag, heel stripe, and sockliner complete the subtle color scheme.
The matte black midsole allows all that translucent Pink Heat near the heel to shine—literally—from specific angles. Underneath that is also true to the original, offering subtle hints at the shoe’s performance heritage via its chunky segmented outsole and midfoot cutout.
