For longtime fans of basketball shoes, there are few recent headlines as nostalgia-exciting as the return of Reebok Basketball, with monumental brand figures Allen Iverson and Shaquille O’Neal leading the charge in bringing the sub-brand into the 2020s. The Big Aristotle was laser-focused on courting Angel Reese to become the first signature athlete of this renewed era, bringing attitude to the label and capitalizing on the increased cachet of the women’s game in the landscape.
Now a couple seasons into its introductory run, the Reebok Angel Reese 1 is loading up a fresh set to take on Spring/Summer. Beyond just meeting warmer climates with fitting palettes, the Angel Reese 1 “Green Gala” dips into one of her more iconic off-the-court moments, revisiting the 2024 Met Gala, where the then-rookie met the “Garden of Time” concept with a custom 16Arlington arrangement replete with a lace gown, ostrich feather halo, and sequin bodice. Of course, the hardwood-ready build of the Reese 1 remains intact rather than dipping into actual delicate materials, but those minty green shades make the connection obvious all the same; multiple viridescent tones dance through the synthetic sidewall cages, the uppers, and sole units, where a cut-out window exposes the ERS cushioning that gives the model its bounce.
The Reebok Angel Reese 1 “Green Gala” is queued up as part of the Reebok Summer ’26 offerings, though the brand hasn’t shared a concrete date just yet. Rest assured, the usual $120 retail price will remain upon arrival. Catch studio shots below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for more info once it comes to light.
