First Look At The Air Jordan 5 “Black/University Blue”

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

Depending on your philosophy on the “glass half full/empty” side of things, it’s either a taxing or a rewarding time to love the Air Jordan 5. Indeed, we’ve seen some previously unvisited colorways hit the shelves again, from once-grail level pairs like the Air Jordan 5 “Tokyo” to past-decade classics like the Air Jordan 5 “Wolf Grey,” but many of them have been tough pairs to get your hands on.

Could we be staring down another hot commodity in the AJ5’s modern lineage? Revealed here is the Air Jordan 5 “Black/University Blue,” a lifestyle-era edition that puts a stealthy spin on the “UNC” stylings so commonly found in Jordan’s catalog. Beyond the updated shape, most of the tooling from the 2006 origins remain two decades later, including the contrast stitching that runs across the body, Carolina-style trim, and icy soles underfoot.

The Air Jordan 5 “Black/University Blue” is now expected to release on June 20th for $215 in adult sizing. Full kids’ sizing is also expected, and though not pictured here, the “Face Box” is reportedly coming with this pair. For the moment, peruse in-hand images included below.
