Nike keeps finding new ways to toughen up familiar runners, and this next Air Max 95 leans into that idea in a clean, understated way. While the shape stays close to the original, the Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble “Smoke Grey/Wolf Grey” brings in a more technical finish that gives the model a different kind of presence.
The shift starts right at the front. A textured black leather T-toe replaces the usual look and gives the pair a harder edge without changing the overall feel of the silhouette. Along the sides, steel blue armored mesh steps in, while slim translucent waves take the place of the standard layered panels and give the shoe a more modern, almost trail-inspired look.
Small touches help pull it together. Steel grey lands on the lace loops and sockliner, and that same cool-toned energy carries onto the tongue with a deeper blue finish near the top. Down below, the black midsole keeps everything grounded, while the clear Air units add just enough contrast to finish off the look.
There is not a huge redesign here, and that is probably why it works. Nike lets the material changes do the talking, which gives the classic runner a more technical spin without losing what made it recognizable in the first place.
