Nike is set to bring back the Moon Shoe OG “Midnight Navy” for Summer 2026, and this pair already has a solid early buzz around it. Alysa Liu gave the shoe an unexpected boost after posting an early photo on Instagram, then taking things further by wearing it in her breakout campaign. That kind of rollout gave the release a more natural spark, especially with Nike continuing to revisit older silhouettes that still carry real weight.
The Moon Shoe stays close to its vintage running roots with a dark blue canvas upper that feels simple in the best way. Decorative jagged trim along the toe box and eyestay prevent this silhouette from appearing too basic. Tri-tone suede overlays on the lateral side and heel give the build some additional dimension. White accents on the Swoosh and tongue label pop nicely against the navy canvas and the gum sole underneath ties it all together with a finishing touch we love to see on retro runners.
The Nike Moon Shoe OG “Midnight Navy” is scheduled to release May 7, 2026 for $105 through Nike.com and select retailers.
