Hopefully understandably, Y2K aesthetics are a frequent topic of conversation for us in footwear, a rampant throwback wave that’s propelled the mesh runner category and additional adjacent verticals to become inescapable. Of course, though it’s not typically our purview, that extends into the realm of apparel at large, something that Tyshawn Jones’ Hardies Hardware label has increasingly embraced with maximalist, oversized prints and collaborations with erstwhile mainstays like Avirex.

As the New York native forges ahead with his clothing company and the partnerships therein, his link to adidas remains a valued one on both ends of that equation, arguably the most notable sponsorship in the Three Stripes’ skate division. Now, both flanks of Jones’ work collide as Hardies Hardware takes over the adidas Gazelle. Kitted in in a flashy orange and pine green, the devil is really in the details with this pair; a woven base layer gives way to studded Three Stripe branding, while a translucent gum cup sole and shaggy patches of suede add intrigue at the extremes.
