This Isn’t The Nike Kobe 6 “All-Star 3D,” It’s A Jalen Brunson PE

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

Last night’s game was one to forget for Jalen Brunson, with the New York Knicks snatching defeat from the jaws of victory after blowing a 12-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. Not that it’s any solace for the MSG faithful, but at least the sneakers were nice.

Brunson, who has become the league’s de facto “Kobe guy” in the absence of his own signature model, trotted out a never-before-seen Kobe 6 Protro for Game 2 against the Atlanta Hawks. The sneaker features a dark gradient upper with red and light blue accents, bearing a strong resemblance to the Kobe 6 “All-Star 3D” from 2011 (which returned in Protro form earlier this year). Every Jalen Brunson PE thus far has carried some sort of story, but we’re left guessing on the inspiration behind this pair for now. Maybe ICEEs? The Nintendo Switch? Your guess is as good as ours.

This Jalen Brunson PE isn’t expected to release as of this writing, but we’ll circle back with an update on the off chance that changes. See detailed pics below and hit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse upcoming basketball sneakers.
