Visible tech is absolutely everywhere in footwear now, and as some brands scrap to catch up, New Balance has managed to be far ahead of the pack.
On top of marking a bold step away from the typical mesh hallmarks we associate with the brand, the New Balance 2000 has been a strict devotee of easily identifiable tech with its accordion-like ABZORB pods, a more futuristic counterpart to what the New Balance 2010 served up in close proximity. Now more than settled into the fold and issuing colorways at high frequency, the New Balance 2000 goes from “dad shoe” to “mom shoe” with this “White/Pink Heat” colorway, tapping into a simpler side of Y2k aesthetics by pinning titular “Pink Heat” accents atop an otherwise whited-out profile.
The New Balance 2000 “Pink Heat” has already started appearing at smaller retailers. A wide New Balance drop is likely in the works as we speak; our expectation is that this pair will land as part of the brand’s Summer 2026 efforts. A $170 retail price and women’s sizing are confirmed.
