Barring any unexpected breaks from tradition, New Balance will soon celebrate Grey Days with a month of grey-tinged takes on the brand’s foremost lifestyle sneakers – an occasion that’s grown from a single day into a full slate of May releases. Here we have a potential member of that lineup, a fresh New Balance 2000 featuring quintessential coloring with just a touch of uniqueness.

Official images reveal a largely straightforward colorway, the shoe featuring varying shades of grey across its usual mesh/synthetic build. The most intriguing element comes via violet-tinted “Truffle Salt” accents, appearing on the quarter and midsole just beneath the ABZORB cushioning. There’s no reinventing the wheel here, but that’s part of the appeal.
