Vans OTW continues to rework familiar skate DNA with the Old Skool 36 “Knot” pack, a two-color release that turns rope detailing into the main design story. Instead of using the classic side stripe as a simple leather overlay, both pairs thread rope loops across the paneling, toe, heel, and side stripe for a hand-worked look.
The “Knot Blue” colorway takes the louder route with a light blue canvas base, royal blue overlays, yellow side stripe, orange lining, and green rope accents. Black laces add contrast across the top, while white stitching and metal eyelets keep the design grounded. The mix feels playful without losing the shape that made the Old Skool 36 a Vans staple.
The “Knot Green/Pink” pair leans softer with a dusty pink canvas upper, muted green overlays, white laces, and pale rope details. Its neutral palette gives the woven accents more room to stand out, especially across the side stripe and heel. Black collar lining, white midsoles, and gum Vibram outsoles complete the build.
Both Old Skool 36 tyles feature Vibram-branded outsoles, giving the release a more rugged edge beneath its lifestyle-focused upper. The outsole shots also reveal a patterned gum tread, adding another detail that separates this pack from standard Old Skool releases.
The Vans OTW Old Skool 36 “Knot” has already started appearing through select retailers and global Vans channels. A May 21, 2026 release date has been reported, giving fans two different takes on the same rope-inspired concept.
